A Welcome

I guess I must begin with a welcome.   I'm so glad you are here and willing to join me as I share my life as it unfolds before us.  I am a wife, a mother to three young people and a homeowner to a 1995(ish) saltbox in a small town in Wisconsin.  We moved here from a smaller town in Michigan in which we owned a 102 year old farmhouse on the water.  With its wrap around porch and beautiful views, I thought I was in heaven.  However, practicality won when we were transferred here.  My husband and I realized that life with young babies left little time for major projecting, a livable basement was a necessity and storage was key; therefore, an old house was out of the question.  Spending time with each other was more important.
So here we are.
We have now been here five years and are doing our best to make this house our home.  I can't say that I feel for this house what I felt for my last, but as time passes, memories are made and this little slice of earth slowly begins to feel more like the place where I belong.
